The NAS devices replace the obsolete tape backup systems, and backup the data at a block-level instead of by files and folders, create a base image of the data server and perform fast and frequent incremental backups through the weeks and months. When data restore is necessary, we take advantage of the NAS devices' virtualization capability to create a virtual server to restore the data and operate it as a regular server until the replacement hardware arrives.
